Community Solidarity provides groceries, fresh produce and warm vegan meals to low-income communities. At these food shares, anyone in need can get most, if not all, of the groceries needed for their week. Each share is a free supermarket where community members share instead of pay for what they need. The best part is that everyone is invited to participate! There are no prerequisites, there is no paperwork, all are welcome and everyone will be helped. Community Solidarity shares food with the community in Hempstead.

Vegan Long Island Meetup hosts potlucks, restaurant outings, and an online forum where vegans and aspiring vegans can mingle and make new friends in the community.
