Brightwaters commits to use only humane, nonlethal geese management in the village

After the Village of Brightwaters invited the DEC and the USDA to discuss management of geese in Brightwaters, Humane Long Island received several e-mails and calls from the public concerned over the geese's safety. Humane Long Island Vice President Juliana Di Leonardo published a letter in Newsday urging coexistence and President John Di Leonardo led a discussion with the village at their next meeting where the mayor committed to leave lethal methods of population control off the table.
