Suffolk County legislators announce legislation restricting use of exotic animals for traveling performances

Following meetings with Humane Long Island president John Di Leonardo, legislators Trich Bergin and Jason Richberg have announced the introduction of IR 1777a local law to restrict the use of exotic animals in traveling performances. Once passed into law, IR 1777 will stop monkeys from being strapped to dogs at town fairs and stop sloths from being cruelly hauled to children's birthday parties.
