Supreme Court orders Sloth Encounters must shut down pending further orders from the court
A Suffolk County Supreme Court judge has ordered Sloth Encounters—an illegal business that subjects sensitive sloths, including vulnerable babies, to grabbing hands, noisy crowds, and ramshackle cages during daylight hours when these animals would naturally be asleep—to shut down immediately pending further orders from the court.
Humane Long Island will continue our campaign until this cruel and illegal business is shuttered permanently and the animals are safely retired to sanctuaries where they can live a more natural life.
