Do you live on Long Island or in New York City? Do you love animals and want to help make your community a kinder place? Perhaps you're looking to get your foot in the door working full-time for animals or you're retired and looking for something to do? Look no further!
Humane Long Island is the leading animal advocacy organization on Long Island and the premier fowl rescue from New York City to Montauk. Former or current volunteers have gone on to work for PETA, NYCLASS, Mercy for Animals, In Defense of Animals, Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, and Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons.
Whether you're looking for an internship, want to get down and dirty performing animal rescue or providing waterfowl care at our Riverhead shelter, or you want to stay clean driving our rescues from point A to B or helping us raise much needed funds at fundraisers or tabling events, Humane Long Island wants to work with you to create a more Humane Long Island!
